Traditional Style

Traditional Style home theatre cabinet

(Solid Jarrah timber frame doors with veneer inset panels. Bench edge and plinth base are solid jarrah with glass panels set into top)

The Traditional style is a more old school style of cabinet but still remaining modern looking by keeping its edges sharp and clean.

The traditional look is achieved by having a plinth style base and an over hanging bench top. The plinth base protrudes forward from the doors and has a step machined into its edge to add character. Bench top also protrudes with a stepped edge creating an over hang.

Although the most common finish for the traditional design is a solid timber framed door. It also suits a veneer or a painted finish very well. It’s really up to your imagination as to what finish you think would work with the traditional style. Some examples of solid timber and veneer are seen on this page.

Various features can include:

  • Removable top for access to components from above
  • Opening end panels for access to components from sides
  • Legs or recessed base
  • Can be designed as anything from a freestanding cabinet to a fully fitted home theatre.
